I wanted to get some opinions on these new locks.. I just saw them for the first time today.. if anyone owns or has experience with them, what do you think of it? Sales guy told me that they’re better quality than schlage, would you agree with that? How does the rekeying work?

I have a kwikset locking door knob that appears to have been compromised. It now cannot be unlocked and/or the cylinder cannot be retracted. I took the knob apart but the exterior portion of the knob cannot be extracted due to the cylinder being jammed (the interior side of the bolt is raised (bigger) making it near impossible to remove from assymbly without breaking). Any ideas on how to remove this knob?

I hear that I can keep the old locks I replace and buy a new cylinder and program it to the lock I need. I am just not sure what is the cheapest way. I have already looked at barginlocks.com and similar sites.
