We have an old Schlage key lock on one of our office doors, and it is locked without a key. I don’t mind destroying the lock, and I wonder if I can open the lock by drilling into it with a drill.
Any advice, please?

I’ve installed two Schlage door locks and with both when locking with the key, the outside knob locks, but the inside know still turns. When locking from the inside, again the outside knob is locked, but the inside one still turns. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling a dozen times with no success.

I need to get a new door lock for a medical facility and the ones that we have are keypad/lever locks from Schlage. I saw some at Lowes for cheap but I dont think they are commercial grade like the rest of the ones we have. What is the difference between commercial and residential locks? My facility manager wants to keep it cheap and go with the residential one. Which one would serve us best and what is the difference.
